John Schumacher provides detailed analyses of complex emerging technologies in plain english, including technical and market risks and financial potential. He has over 30 years experience in the semiconductor equipment and materials industry including c-Si photovoltaics. His distinguished career includes  founding three companies since 1974 that focused on system solutions to Electronic Materials issues.  Dr. Schumacher holds a B.S. in Analytical Chemistry from Stanford University, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Materials Science/Metal Surface Physics from Stanford University. He has been awarded more than 25 patents and has developed a wealth of commercially successful products upon which the companies he founded were built.
